HALLOWEEN MAGIC - 28th October. 12 noon - 7pm

Lullingstone Castle celebrates Halloween magic on its last day of the season; pumpkin carving, spooky house and garden tours – perfect for all the family. Tom will give garden tours at 1pm and dusk tour at 5pm, learn about the origins of pumpkins, colours and varieties and children can spot the Halloween tricks in eerie torchlight! Fancy dress is welcome – let’s celebrate the end of our season in style! Additional £1 donation for the pumpkin carving.

Feeling adventurous?

Can you imagine how it might feel to be an intrepid plant hunter?  Visit Lullingstone Castle for Plant Hunters' Weekend25th, 26th & 27th August, 11am – 5pm to find out.

Celebrating the lives of some of Britain’s most intrepid plant hunters, Tom and friends in Victorian dress will lead a guided tour of the World Garden at 1.30 and 3.30 pm - join at any time! Visitors are offered a unique glimpse into the past to experience an authentic plant hunter’s expedition camp, complete with plant presses, roaring fire, porters and canvas tents.

Lullingstone is transformed into a magical medieval village – step back in time to experience the authentic sights and sounds with 'living history' displays (including live firing of cannons and mock battles!), character dress, campfires, tents and medieval weapons, courtesy of the remarkable Woodvilles medieval re-enactment group. Everyone can get involved with the archery sessions – fun for all the family!

Special Event  – admission charge £10 per adult and children 15 go FREE.

Be Spooked at Lullingstone Castle!

On Sunday 29th October, noon - 8 pm, join the Lullingstone Castle team for Halloween magic on the last day of the season; pumpkin carving, spooky house and garden tours – perfect for all the family. Tom will give garden tours at 1pm and dusk tour at 5pm, learn about the origins of pumpkins, colours and varieties and children can spot the Halloween tricks in eerie torchlight! Spooky house tours are 2pm and 6pm including the tales of the castle's resident ghost! Pumpkin carving will take place throughout the day next to the Gatehouse, children can enjoy carving their own Halloween pumpkin creation, many home-grown in The World Garden.

 Fancy dress is welcome – let’s celebrate the end of Lullingstone's season in style!

Wear your Sombreros at Lullingstone!

Search out those sombreros to cut a dash at the Mexican Celebration at Lullingstone Castle, Saturday and Sunday, 16 and 17 September, 11 am - 5 pm.

2017 sees a new event arrive at The World Garden at Lullingstone Castle, a Mexican celebration weekend.  Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a Mexican plant tour with Tom Hart Dyke, enjoy the music and indulge with a taste of Mexico!  Tom will lead guided tours of the Hot & Spiky House & The World Garden at 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm - join at any time!  Our castle marquee will have a Mexican themed menu for the weekend, so pop along for a great family day out!

Lullingstone Castle Fire Engine Rally - 8/9 July

Saturday 8 & Sunday 9 July – 11am – 5pm –  is Lullingstone Castle's  *SPECIAL EVENT* weekend  - a Fire Engine Rally.  

An action packed ‘special event’ for all the family! A spectacular showcase of fire-fighting history with over 20 fire engines and carts from the Victorian hose carts and the Edwardian period right up to present day, courtesy of the Kent Firefighting Museum and the Kent Fire and Rescue Service. Experience epic live fire displays run by the Fire Service Preservation Group South East Branch enthusiasts, demonstrating how to put out various kinds of fires!  Younger visitors can get a slice of the action and learn how they operate, with the opportunity to even squirt the hoses!

If so you need to be at Lullingstone Castle on Sunday 7th August, noon to 5pm! This is the date for the annual Kent Jaguar Enthusiasts' rally! Just imagine, a whole line up of the beautiful beasts to be purred at and admired! 

Bring the family with a picnic; take a Manor House Tour at 2 pm; or visit the World Garden with a free children's plant hunters quiz.
